Spectroscopy
UV/VIS spectroscopy is an optical technique used to measure the
absorption or fluorescent properties of samples. This gives information such as the concentration of substances in a sample. When a full spectrum
is measured, more advanced analytical techniques can be used, such as
multiplex sensing of various labeled substances in one sample.
Trinean has developed a patented compact multichannel
spectrophotometer that combines a simplified optical setup with
important advantages in terms of throughput, sensitivity and stability.
The DropSense96® is able to measure the full UV/VIS spectrum in
multiple samples simultaneously. It measures the absorption
properties of samples and gives information on the concentration levels
of substances in a sample, e.g. the absorbance and concentration of nucleic acids, proteins or chemical
compounds (µg/µl and pmol/µl).
Differential measurements are implemented in a straightforward manner with this
module, which compensates for secondary effects such as drift and
temperature. This results in higher accuracy.
Unique optical spectrometer design (patent pending) combining cylindrical lenses with integrated optical elements, high resolution gratings and an ultra-sensitive photodiode array.
